Dr. Andrea Guazzo

Veterinarian & Practice Owner

Dr. Andrea Guazzo decided as a young child that she wanted to be a veterinarian. Her mother wouldn't allow the family to have pets, but Dr. Guazzo loved animals so much she decided she would take care of everyone else's animals. She worked on a dairy farm, at small animal veterinarians' offices, and in Cornell University's polo barn in order to be with animals and gain experience in the field. All these experiences reinforced her love of animals and veterinary medicine and in 1991

Dr. Guazzo graduated from Cornell's College of Veterinary Medicine with a doctorate of veterinary medicine degree. Dr. Guazzo has been working in the Hudson Valley since she graduated veterinary school and in 1999 she opened A Cat's Place Veterinary Hospital. She truly enjoys the ability to concentrate her practice on the needs of cats and has built a team of experienced and caring staff to help her in her endeavor. Dr. Guazzo also enjoys seeing rabbits, ferrets and rodents. And in her free time, she enjoys studying ballet, hiking with her dogs, and spending time with her cats and bunnies.
